An appointment at NM Joshi Marg had my daughter and me at Lower
Parel on a beautiful winter morning. Post the appointment we were ready to grab
a good lunch. So as usual we turned to our trusted Zomato. We choose Three
Chicks and a Bear for its proximity and its rating.
This size ‘L’ restaurant has high ceiling and an open floor
plan. Combined with the big windows which allow the sunlight to stream in; it
gives the restaurant a very airy and sweeping feel. We choose a table by the
windows which gave us a view of the hustle and bustle of the street.
Their moto is ‘real good burgers’ so obviously most of the
menu is dedicated to burgers. They have tenderloin, chicken, pork, seafood and
vegetarian burgers.
We ordered a mac and cheese and a Canadian pulled BBQ
chicken burger along with a glass of lemon ice tea.
The mac and cheese was a surprise. I was expecting the old
fashioned version – my bad as I didn’t read the explanation below the dish
which clearly mentioned that they were fritters – but here it was served as deep
fried balls of mac and cheese with an in-house chilli sauce. They were yum;
cheesy and gooey on the inside and crispy and crunchy on the outside.
The BBQ burger was also great. I loved the fact that the
chicken was pulled, it adds a different texture to the burger while you chomp
down on it. And the peri-peri fries accompanying the burger were awesome.
The iced tea was ok albeit without ice hence not as chilled
as I prefer it.
All in all a good hearty meal, will like to try other
burgers too.
They also have a Theobroma outlet.
PS: Bathroom is usable.
