Since my last review, this place has morphed into a decent eat out restaurant. Well, restaurant is a strong word; it is more of a glamourized neighbourhood eatery. The décor in this size ‘XS’ eatery is pretty quirky. Don’t be surprised if you look up and for a second feel that you are upside down; there is a red & yellow cot hanging from the ceiling along with the knick-knacks used for cooking like a rolling pin, a long spatula, an aluminium kettle and some others. There is barely space for 4 tables and each table is accompanied by colourful chairs. The whole effect is that it gives the small space a happy look.
The service is prompt and friendly. It’s not like they have a lot of scope (read space) to be tardy.
It was a night where the kids and I decided not to have home food or food at home, so off we went to Taste of India. It was a simple meal of butter chicken, naan and rotis helped down with a glass of butter milk.
Their drinkable menu is pretty short, so chose the safest option of butter milk. It was not as cold as it should have been so this was the only average component of the meal.
All in all a very satisfactory meal, three full and happy stomachs’ and a still fat wallet left the restaurant that evening. Their chicken-sukha continues to be a favourite and now the butter chicken (especially for kids) has become a new favourite.

The butter chicken however was a different story. It was good – hot and buttery and the ‘garma-garam’ butter rotis were a hit; the kids loved it and ate the way they have not eaten before. Their black coloured crockery was so in-place with the whole décor; really liked the dinner plate (I know what you are thinking, “Really, you liked the plate”, what can I say, I did and had to mention it.)
